One ball, one finger and a screen to make a mess of.
Press and the ball rises. Let go and gravity takes it back. It leaves a thin trail of paint wherever it goes, and when it strikes the underside of a platform hard enough, a wide splash bursts across it. Both cost you ink: the trail little by little, the splash all at once and plenty of it.
Each level asks you to cover a percentage of the screen before the ink runs out. That is the whole mechanic and you will not learn another one; what changes is where the platforms are, and the question is always the same: is it better to wander around painting thin, or to hunt for the hit that stains everything in one go?
WHAT YOU GET
• Levels that never end. Each one comes from its number, so level 15,000 is the same for everybody.
• No impossible levels. Before you ever see one, the game has played it a hundred times by itself to check that it can be done. If it cannot, it throws it away and builds another.
• Platforms that misbehave: some erase your paint, some slow the ball down and some fire it away.
• Four difficulty grades — easy, medium, hard and deadly — that raise the reward.
• A streak that multiplies what you earn for as long as you keep going.
• Three single-use power-ups: more ink, wider splashes and immunity to erasers. One of each per level and no more: you cannot buy your way through here.
• A prize every day, with the seventh bigger than the other six.
AND IT PLAYS
The ball's impacts are notes. They are in tune, they land on the beat and they make music as you play, with no song running underneath. You choose how much of it you want: off, soft, medium or lively.
