About this app

Summary

This resizable weather widget (and interactive app) provides a detailed and visually appealing weather forecast, allowing you very quickly to understand what to expect when you venture outdoors. The graphical format is commonly referred to as a 'meteogram'.

You can choose to display as little or as much information as you like, or you can set up multiple widgets showing different information (optionally for different places) in different widgets.

You can plot common weather parameters like temperature, wind speed and pressure, as well as tide charts, UV Index, wave height, moon phase, sunrise and sunset times, and much much more!

You can even display government-issued weather alerts chart, with coverage for at least 63 different countries.

The content and style of the meteogram is extremely configurable... with over 4000 options to set, your imagination is the limit!

The widget is also fully resizable, so make it however small or large you like on your home screen! And the interactive app is just a click away, direct from the widget.

Furthermore, you can choose where your weather data comes from, with over 30 different models or sources including:

★ The Weather Company
★ Apple Weather (WeatherKit)
★ Foreca
★ AccuWeather
★ MeteoGroup
★ Norwegian Met Office (Meteorologisk Institutt)
★ MOSMIX, ICON-EU and COSMO-D2 models from German Met Office (Deutscher Wetterdienst or DWD
★ AROME and ARPEGE models from Météo-France
★ Swedish Met Office (SMHI)
★ UK Met Office
★ National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
★ GFS & HRRR models from NOAA
★ GEM model from the Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC)
★ Global GSM and local MSM models from the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA)
★ IFS model from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)
★ HARMONIE model from Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI)
★ and more!

Infinitely customizable. Took quite a while to figure out many of the possibilities, but i finally got the perfect settings for me. This is a great replacement for the old weather underground widget that was deprecated. Now, after all that time spent setting it up perfectly, the widget disappeared, i guess because of an upgrade. Now it's back to square one. Not looking forward to having to set it all up again!--edit reply to dev--yes did try long press and app restart. Got message couldn't fetch

Are you sure it disappeared? If you long press on the area where it should be, can you see the resize handles? If so, drag to resize. Or just restart the launcher, or the phone. Edit reply... Can you open the settings by tapping in the middle of the widget?

This is just what I was looking for! With the wunderground app going from great to terrible in it's last update, I was looking for another charting weather app. The options are incredible, I think I've only scratched the surface! I'm the type of person who likes to tinker and customize so this is perfect. Will consider the full version after a good test run!

Thanks for the great feedback... yes this is definitely an app for closet tinkerers. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help... there are also a few help topics over on the meteogram Trello board.

Very versatile widget. Hard to get a handle on all the settings. I spent about an hour trying to reconfigure it after I changed phones, you should register to unlock saved settings for sure. [Misguided criticisms deleted.] [Edit] D'oh! Forgot about the center press to edit. And I'm going to register for platinum to get the saved settings. I plan on using this for a while.

Saving settings (either to a file or to the server, or both) is possible with the platinum upgrade (see the Save and Load sections near the bottom of the settings). Not sure what you mean when you say you can't go back and change a few settings... just tap the middle of the widget to open the settings to change what you need to.

What's new

5.0.8:
• when choosing a provider for a specific variable, rather than just showing "Main Data Provider" in the drop-down it will also show what the currently-selected "main data provider" actually is
• this should help because the main data provider is set in different section, and you may not recall what it is currently set to
5.0.7:
• add "inch" as an option for precipitation unit
• fix email app not opening for some users
5.0.6:
• add millibar (mb) as a choice for pressure unit
