BUILT FOR REAL HARDWARE
Compass readings rely on magnetometer and motion sensors. For a reliable experience, use a physical phone or tablet. Simulators often cannot provide a real compass stream.

PERMISSIONS
Location is requested when in use so the app can estimate declination and show true north where supported. You control access in system settings at any time.

PRIVACY
The app is shipped without advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs. The developer does not operate a backend that stores your compass or location data for Pocket Compass.

ACCURACY NOTE
Readings depend on device sensors, nearby metal or electronics, and calibration. Always combine with maps and sound judgment when hiking, boating, or traveling outdoors.
