You never type a single command or see a line of real code. You are the handler — the one who reads the map, makes the call, and decides what is worth the risk. On the other end of the line is Ghost, a hacker who does exactly what you tell him, nothing more. This is the hack-from-the-shadows fantasy, no syntax required.
HOW IT PLAYS
Ghost gets you inside a network's edge, and from there you decide where he goes next. You don't type — you solve a puzzle, choose a path, or pick the right thing to say, and Ghost turns it into action. His terminal fills with commands and results while you watch. Get it right and the target never notices; get it wrong and the noise adds up.
Each episode strings together short scenes — a briefing, a live 3D map of the target's network, a puzzle standing between you and the next room, a decision with consequences later on. There's no fail state that dumps you to a menu, only quieter and louder, safer and riskier.
WHAT YOU DO
Nine puzzle types, each a different way of thinking rather than typing:
— ROUTE THE NETWORK: read a live 3D map, choose the path that gets Ghost through without tripping a camera or an alarm.
— CRACK THE LOCK: a folder guarded by a short code — every lock comes with a clue about the person who set it.
— BREAK THE CIPHER: a message hidden in plain sight, shifted letter by letter.
— SPOT THE PATTERN: numbers and codes that follow a rule — find it, and you find what comes next.
— SEARCH THE LOG: a wall of raw activity hides one line that matters. Read it like an investigator.
— MATCH THE WIRES: a torn label panel, a puzzle of cables and ports — wire each device to the port that fits.
— CALL THE TIMING: a door that only opens for a fraction of a second. Watch the rhythm, call the moment.
— TALK YOUR WAY IN: not every door is a firewall. Some are a tired man on a phone at midnight.
— PIECE IT TOGETHER: scattered fragments that only make sense once you put them in order.
None of it asks you to remember a command. All of it asks you to think.
THE TRACE
One number watches every choice: the trace, 0 to 100. Careful moves barely move it; greedy moves — grabbing more than needed, forcing a door instead of finding the key — push it higher. Cross a threshold and you make the call: pull back, or push forward and risk it all. Hit 100 and Ghost is burned; the operation resets from your last safe point.
No perfect run is required, but careful players see a different ending than reckless ones — Ghost's trust, built or lost decision by decision, shapes how he talks to you and which of three endings you reach.
THE FIRST CASE: COLD TRAIL
Mara Venn's sister Iris took a night-shift job at a logistics yard eleven weeks ago; nine days ago she stopped answering. Police said what they always say — adults are allowed to disappear. Mara doesn't believe it, and she's found someone who can get inside the company's network: Ghost. What he looks at, and what it's worth risking to find, is your call.
By the end of episode one you already know something that shouldn't be true: Iris's badge still swipes into the yard gate every night, nine days after she vanished. Someone wants it to look like she never left — finding out why means going deeper into a network built to keep you out.
Cold Trail runs five episodes, each built for a single sitting, each ending on a reason to come back tomorrow.
FREE AND PRO
The entire first case, Cold Trail — all five episodes — is free. One episode unlocks per day, with a second any day by watching a short video; no puzzle is ever paywalled — every scene you can reach, you can fully solve.
A subscription unlocks what comes after Cold Trail: further cases as they release, unlimited episodes, unlimited hints, an ad-free experience, and more of Ghost's voice. None of it is required to finish the case you've started.
Ghost sends no invoice. He just says the next case is on you.
