Dimmer is a free screen dimmer app for Android that dims your screen below the system minimum brightness, creating a comfortable night mode for reading and using your device in the dark.

Many devices remain too bright even at their lowest brightness setting. Dimmer adds a lightweight screen overlay for extra dimming while keeping your device fully functional.

Choose between two dimming modes:
- Normal Mode works without Accessibility permission and dims apps using a screen overlay. Status and navigation bars may remain visible.
- Advanced Mode uses the Accessibility Service to provide full-screen dimming, including the status and navigation bars.

Whether you are reading in bed, browsing social media, watching videos, or checking notifications at night, Dimmer helps reduce harsh screen brightness and improve viewing comfort.

Permissions:
- Display Over Other Apps: Required only for Normal Mode. Used to display the dimming overlay above other apps.
- Accessibility Service: Required only for Advanced Mode. Used exclusively to apply full-screen dimming across apps, including the status and navigation bars. Dimmer does not use Accessibility to read, collect, monitor, store, or share your text, personal information, or interactions.
- Notification Permission (Optional): Used only to display notification controls for quick access to Dimmer features. Dimmer can operate without this permission.

Privacy:
Dimmer does not collect, store, share, or transmit personal user data.
