Five minutes to slow down.
The circle grows, you breathe in. It shrinks, you breathe out. A sound and a light vibration mark each change, so you can keep your eyes closed.
FOUR RHYTHMS TO CHOOSE FROM
A cycle always lasts ten seconds, which makes six breaths a minute. Only the split between breathing in and out changes.
• Relax: 4 s in, 6 s out. A longer exhale helps you unwind.
• Balance: 5 s in, 5 s out. The standard cardiac coherence rhythm.
• Energize: 6 s in, 4 s out. Good in the morning, or when you're low on energy.
• Sleep: 3 s in, 7 s out. Do it in bed, before you fall asleep.
You can also set your own timings and the length of the session.
DAILY REMINDERS
Pick one or more times, and Oscalm reminds you every day to take a moment to breathe.
AN APP THAT ASKS NOTHING OF YOU
I made it for the days when you're tired or stressed. There's no streak to keep and no goal to hit: you open it, breathe for five minutes, and you're done.
• The session starts in one tap
• Four rhythms, or your own, set to the second
• A sound and a vibration at each change, so you can practise with your eyes closed
• Daily reminders at the times you choose
• No streak of days to keep up
THE 3-6-5 METHOD
Cardiac coherence is often practised three times a day, morning, midday and evening, for five minutes. Three reminders are enough to keep the routine.

GOOD TO KNOW
Oscalm helps you relax, but it is not a medical device: it doesn't diagnose or treat anything. If you're going through burnout, depression or a period of intense stress, talk to a doctor.
Five minutes to slow down: cardiac coherence breathing, even with eyes closed.
