1. Freeze it — capture the thing you're tempted by and choose a cooldown (24 hours to 7 days)
2. Cool off — the item waits in your freezer while the urge does what urges do: fade
3. Decide later — a reminder tells you when the cooldown ends. Buy it or skip it — either way, you chose on purpose
4. Reflect — a quick decision journal helps you spot what triggers your impulse buys
