ColdWork is an app and website blocker for people who want to focus and actually get things done.

You pick the apps and websites that distract you, start a session, and ColdWork keeps them blocked until the session is over. There are no reminders you can just swipe away or ignore. You make the choice once, and ColdWork handles the rest.

It’s useful for studying, working, writing, side projects, or just spending less time on your phone.

🎯 WHAT YOU GET

Focus sessions
Start a focus session and ColdWork runs quietly in the background. If you try to open a blocked app, you’ll be sent back to what you’re supposed to be doing.

App and website blocking
Block the apps and websites that distract you. Website blocking works directly on your phone using a local DNS filter, so your browsing stays private.

Timer, stopwatch or Pomodoro
Choose between a countdown timer, stopwatch, or Pomodoro. You can use the Classic 25/5 or Deep Work 60/10 presets, and change the times if you want.

Floating timer
A small floating bubble shows your remaining time while you use your phone. You can drag it wherever you want on the screen.

Daily app limits
Set a daily limit for any app. Once you use up that time, the app stays blocked until the next day.

Scheduled sessions
Set the days and times you want to focus, and ColdWork can start your sessions automatically.

Stats and screen time
See your focus sessions, total focus time, streaks, and how you spent your screen time during the week. Your screen time data stays on your phone.

💪 STRICT PROTECTIONS

Strict Mode: once a session starts, you can't end it early. You have to wait for the timer to finish.

Strict App Limits: once an app reaches its daily limit, you can't give yourself extra time.

Custom Rules: when you open one app, ColdWork can automatically block the other apps you've selected.

Uninstall Protection: ColdWork can't be uninstalled while this protection is turned on.

Signout Protection: you can't sign out while Strict Mode is active.

Themes: pick any of the color themes.

💳 SUBSCRIPTION

ColdWork is a subscription app, billed monthly or yearly through Google Play. New subscribers start with a 14 day free trial. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can cancel anytime in Google Play.

🔒 YOUR PRIVACY

Website blocking happens directly on your phone. ColdWork doesn't log your browsing history. We don't sell your data, and there are no ads.

PERMISSIONS

Usage Access: used to detect blocked apps and keep track of your daily limits.

VPN: used only for the local website filter. ColdWork is not a browsing VPN.

Display over other apps: used for the floating timer and block screen.

Notifications: used for session updates and reminders.

Battery optimization: helps ColdWork keep blocking active while running in the background.

Accessibility: lets ColdWork see which app is opening, so a blocked app is covered the moment it opens. It doesn't read what you type, and nothing it sees leaves your phone.

Notification access (optional): silences notifications from blocked apps during a session.

Device admin (optional): used only for Uninstall Protection.

ColdWork doesn't read your passwords or collect sensitive personal information.
