About this game

You are one ancient microbe, woken from the ice after millions of years asleep. No party, no squad. Just your single cell, and ten natural ecosystems standing between you and the deep ocean vents where life began.

THAW is a bacteria-evolution battler. The fights play out on their own. Your skills fire automatically as your cell acts, so winning is never about reflexes. It comes down to how you built the cell before the fight starts. Every enemy is a real microbe with a real strength, and the question is always the same: am I powerful enough yet, and have I adapted to what this one does?

You shape the cell two ways:

- Stats. Spend Evolution Points (EP) to raise Attack, Vitality, Defense, Speed, and Dexterity. EP is permanent and slow to earn, so every point counts. Soft caps mean a one-stat glass cannon stalls out.
- Adaptations. Farm the DNA Strands currency off the microbes of an ecosystem, then invest it into traits like Cold Tolerance to answer that biome's hazard and crack its boss.

As you pass major evolution milestones, your organism physically changes, layering on new organelles and quietly growing its automatic kit.

Ten ecosystems, from Antarctic Ice down to a Deep Ocean Vent, each with its own roster of grounded, real-world microbes. Farm an ecosystem, adapt, grow stronger, then beat its boss once you are powerful enough, and the next ecosystem opens. The further you climb, the more the bosses ask of your build.

Come back daily for missions, a login streak, and once-a-day boss rematches that keep the DNA Strands flowing.

THAW is free, fully offline, and saves on your device. No ads. No accounts. No tracking. Just you, your cell, and the long climb up from the ice.
Woken after millions of years in the ice. Evolve, adapt, and climb.
