Asthma Connect: Personalised Asthma Self-Management Support

Asthma Connect is a free mobile application (also available as a web version) designed to support Australians living with asthma. Developed by the University of Newcastle and implemented by Asthma Australia, the app is part of the broader Asthma Connect program, a digital health initiative that combines expert asthma education, an integrated video-calling platform, and tailored educational text messaging to help you better manage your asthma and associated health conditions, all in one convenient place.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have lived with asthma for years, Asthma
Connect offers expert guidance, easy-to-use tools, and personalised education to
support your asthma journey and improve your health and wellbeing.

Key Features:
● My Asthma Connect
Stay connected with an Asthma Educator from Asthma Australia through
messages, goal tracking and video calls.

● Managing My Asthma
Access a suite of powerful in-app tools designed to support your day-to-day asthma self-management:
○ My Asthma Action Plan: A digital version of your personal plan,
developed with your healthcare provider.
○ My Medicines and Devices: Education and step-by-step instructions
and videos tailored to your prescribed asthma medicines and devices.
○ My Treatable Traits (other conditions and behaviours affecting your
asthma): Personalised information on managing your Treatable Traits.
○ My Reminders: Custom alerts for medications, appointments, and
much more.
○ My Asthma Diary: Track symptoms, triggers, medications, and other
