Animated Fractal Wallpaper Art

About this app

Fractal live wallpaper that's generated as it plays. Five animated fractal art wallpapers, from the classic Julia set and Mandelbrot zoom to Escher-inspired spirals and tiles, each one highly customizable.

Julia Set
The chaotic Julia set is one of the most recognizable fractals there is. Now a Julia set wallpaper lives in your pocket, moving on your home screen any time you look.

Mandelbrot Set
The iconic Mandelbrot fractal zoom. When you hear the word fractal, this is probably what comes to mind. For a fractal wallpaper it gets no better.

Infinite Spiral
Interlocking engraved tiles spiraling inward forever, inspired by an M.C. Escher drawing. Choose the number of arms, how tightly the edges interlock, the density of the engraving, how fast it zooms in or out, and your own colors.

Shifting Tiles
Escher-inspired tessellation: engraved creatures that tile the plane, appearing and fading in sweeping waves. Build them from triangles, squares or hexagons, set how many fit across the screen and how strongly they take shape, and pick your own colors.

Plankton Bloom
A living colony that grows on your phone. Choose the type of organism and set the conditions it grows by.

GENERATIVE ART, NOT A VIDEO LOOP
Every wallpaper is generated on your phone as it plays, not played back from a video.
