Turn a spare Android phone into a remote time-lapse camera, including long duration intervals. You select from seconds to hours to match your project.
Mount an old phone, set an interval, and let it go to work. CorvoCam captures locally and keeps capturing with the screen off, so a multi-day job doesn't end because a screen timed out. Frames land on your phone as they're taken — check progress from anywhere with your main phone as the viewer device, change the interval, start and stop the capture remotely.
Screen-off capture needs a phone whose camera supports the advanced engine, with battery optimization turned off for CorvoCam. Some manufacturers add their own battery manager on top of Android, which can still throttle a scheduled capture. On phones that can't run the advanced engine, CorvoCam falls back to a compatibility engine that keeps the screen on.
Built for construction sites, security, wildlife, nature and for any other time lapse video ideas you can imagine.
How it works
Pick a phone to be the camera. Pick another phone, or a browser, to be the viewer. Pair them with the QR code. That's it.
What it does
- Time-lapse capture at any interval, from seconds to hours
- Keeps capturing with the screen off
- Remote start, stop and settings from your viewer
- Compile finished frames into an MP4 on the device
- Battery and storage alerts
- After a restart, one tap resumes capture
- Works offline — capture never waits on a network
Own your camera. Own your footage.
Frames are captured to the device first. Nothing is held hostage by a subscription.
