I hate this update. Nothing works right. in the app, I can't view or add trips or view my profile . Profile photos all show in vertical form, even on the website; cutting out large portions of the photos. you can no longer view local travelers. looking to meet up, only predetermined events which all have terrible, terrible AI images depicting the same type of "generic 20 something at festival", even if it's advertising a farmers market or intimate gathering. I prefer the old, functioning app.

Cs is an amazing platform, I'm glad I found it! the new update made me change my rating. not for being new but because I lost most of what I already had well put in my profile, in my messages and most importantly because I paid for the Lifetime subscription and now I have to pay more? in terms of design, I don't like the colours and the fonts, looks like another ai generated app 🫪

Update ruined Hangouts. unless the developers bring back the previous approach to Hangouts which was simply people indicating they want to hang out right now and what they want to do (completely effective) and remove all of the curated noise and junk. I will be canceling. the reason I had couchsurfing was to find other people as I travel. there is no way to indicate your personality or preference on Hangouts. only pre-configured boxes nobody uses. who did use a research here???
