I looked up two products. If I wanted to know where to buy them, this app is excellent. No mention of what's actually in the products, which is the point of the app. One was a moisturizer, the other was a hot sauce. No ingredients, just purchasing links.

Hello. When you browse products of supported categories (personal care, cleaning, etc.) Clearya analyzes the ingredient list that was published by the seller at the retailer's website. The analysis results are displayed by Clearya when you tap the Clearya status / symbol at the top of the screen. Please email hello@clearya.com and we'll help. Thx!

Needs improvement. Doesn't even list fragrance as a potential hazard & allergen. For this reason, I question the adequacy of how everything on the app is evaluated, given how incredibly problematic unidentified ingredients labeled as "fragrance" can be. I encourage them to be more rigorous on this aspect of the app. Until then, it's not particularly useful for me or the millions of other people who are allergic to common harmful fragrance components.

Our alerts are based on reliable chemical hazard information for labeled ingredients. "Fragrance" is a general term that doesn't disclose actual ingredients, and may - or may not - contain allergens/other unsafe chemicals. Clearya informs shoppers of this by flagging "Fragrance" as a "generic ingredient" so they may choose to avoid the product.

Its great to be able to check your products before you buy them for toxic ingredients. Although i have some knowledge i constantly discover new and harmful ingredients. Its quite easy to understand whats what.
