- Coway products supports only 2.4 GHz of Wi-Fi (5 GHz is not supported).
: If the router provides both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz is disabled, make sure to enable 2.4 GHz in the router’s setting.

Ratings and reviews

Nice looking app, but too many unnecessary permissions. Other reviews call this out as well. Permissions to control my phone are not required for push notifications... In fact, I have the permissions denied and am still getting push notifications for air quality. This wasn't a cheap purchase... It's disappointing to not be able to use the app without fear of giving a ton of access to my phone.

As others have mentioned, the app requires far too many permissions for what it is. Beyond that, the code verification email when signing up as well as half of the screens I encountered in my <5 minutes using the app was in Korean, so I couldn't even verify what I was doing or what I was potentially allowing. I fully recommend staying away from the app or 'S' models to protect your privacy, as there is no telling what will happen with your data you give access to. Very quick Uninstall for me.

App is 0% functional. I just bought an Air Mega AP-1512HHS specifically because of the app feature (which is advertised quite explicitly on Amazon.). It costs significantly more than the model without that connectivity. I called Coway immediately upon realizing that the app is widely known to be broken. They quickly admitted that they know it doesn't work, and that they don't know if it ever will. Coway is asleep at the wheel!
