About this app

This Mobile Application is currently meant for CoWIN Facility level users to perform following tasks as Vaccinator , Supervisors and Surveyors.

1) Beneficiary Registration: Based on identified priority group by Government of India, Beneficiary can be registered on the Application.

2) Beneficiary Verification: Beneficiary's relevant details can be captured in encrypted form which can be utilised to ensure that vaccine is administered to relevant Beneficiary. This is applicable at the time of registration as well as vaccination.

3) Aadhaar Authentication: To ensure de-duplication , Beneficiary's Aadhaar authentication can be done from the application in the form of OTP and Demographic Authentication. This is applicable at the time of registration or at the time of validation.

4) Vaccination Status: Based on dose schedule, vaccination status of Beneficiary can be updated from not vaccinated to partially vaccinated and partially vaccinated to vaccination completion.

5) Reporting of Adverse Event following Immunization:

AEFI - Adverse Event following Immunization can be reported from the application.

Entering the phone number triggers a pop up that says UPDATE NOW. All the while you can see the timer in the background but your OTP never reaches. Back button doesn't help and the only way to get out of this mess is to update. But it doesn't get you anywhere either. Doesn't update from playstore, but takes you to a site where you download an APK. When you try to install the APK, it says it couldn't be installed because an existing package clashes with it or something. Seriously? 😒

The app was fine earlier. Now it is rubbish! Every time I try to login with OTP, it forces me to download an updated version, and that version is from an unsafe source, so my phone refuses permission to instal. I have reinstalled the app from Google Play, and then the same thing happens when I try to login. This app has become like the Income Tax portal -- it worked fine until the govt decided to "improve" it and messed it completely.

Absolutely useless app. Google should take down is app, this is misleading. Over the last 2-3 months, I have tried to open in several ways, but it would never open. Firstly, you never get the OTP. Even if you get it sometimes by mistake, it would throw some other error. Now it is asking to upgrade, but there is no option to upgrade in Play Store.... And without upgrade the app won't allow to proceed further.
