I really like this app. Using it has made my first lace knitting project go much faster and I was pleasantly surprised at how many features it has. 1. It took me a while to confirm that Android doesn't have Magic marker summary counts. It was confusing because the Android video for markers shows a chart that has been colored as though it was processed by Magic markers. It would be helpful if a caption or note made that clearer to Android users. I am anxiously awaiting this count summary feature on the Android side. 2. I'd like to see a visual aid that tells you what direction you are moving when you are zoomed in on a long row.
It's okay for now It does not have the capabilities of the iOs so forget about shopping for the ready set up projects for now. I bought the subscription to help support the development because I still have access to my IOS version for everything I really want. If I were just getting this app without knowledge of its potential I would feel I got overcharged for the subscription at this point. Hopefully in the near future it will be more complete. At that point, it will totally seem worth it.
Easy to use; wish the pattern didn't reload each time after minimising it. Otherwise a very helpful app. Not good for very large charts.
Good idea but crashes very often, particularly when switching between apps. If I power off the screen, then return to the app, the project has to reload, which takes a while and is frustrating. Loading my Ravelry library (525 pdf) takes a long time (2m2s) - I tend to save the files to my device then open in KC to save time. Eta: Thank you for your reply. The troubleshooting page does not resolve the issues I have encountered - I regularly close open apps and clear memory but KC still crashes. I have previously entered the repro steps in the android error reporting pop up, but repeatedly reporting an error, caused by the same actions, is a waste of time. I do not feel comfortable with submitting my contact details on the error reporting service.
Adroid knitters are thrilled to finally have access to the ap that has made printing a thing of the past for iOS knitters. I really do like the ap for the most part. There are a few issues. Firstly, there seems to be no set place to select to go in to the projects....you select the down arrow and get the delete x, and then tap along until the project opens....which it does.....most of the time That leads to my second issue....crashes. if I am IN my project, it is a nice, stable ap....but getting in leads to crashes, and going back and forth between aps it crashes sometimes. When that is resloved, I will give 5 stars, even without the nicer interface and increased features the iOS version has over the Android one.
LOVE THIS APP! My husband had me try this app and I really love using this to follow the patterns I am working on. With it's many perks and features it's really really nice. I am loving the highlight on the row I left off on and can pick right back up knowing EXACTLY where I was at. Really is great app.
* Fix possible crash when returning to the app.
