KindNear is a free app for older people and the families who care for them, near or far.
FOR THE OLDER PERSON
• Big buttons, large text, read-aloud, seven languages (English, Hindi, Arabic, French, Spanish, Chinese, German).
• Medicine reminders that really ring, tied to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tap Taken, Later or Skip. A family member can record the reminder in their own voice.
• A red HELP button: press and hold, and the family gets your location at once. The phone then calls your first family member or the emergency number.
• Type your blood pressure, sugar, weight, oxygen, temperature or pulse from your own machine on a large keypad, or say the numbers. See simple charts and a report for the doctor.
• "I'm OK" once a day, so the family knows all is well.
• Appointments with reminders, a medical card, and a place for prescriptions and documents.
• Voice commands: "Call Rahul", "Next medicine", "Did I take my tablet?", "I am OK", "Help".
FOR THE FAMILY
• See the day at a glance: medicines taken, readings, last seen, battery.
• Alerts for missed medicines, SOS, no activity, low battery and worrying readings.
• Add medicines, appointments and notes from anywhere. Two older people per family; helper role for a nurse or domestic helper.

OPTIONAL SMART HELPERS
• Read a prescription or a machine screen from a photo, check a suspicious message, explain a lab report in plain words, prepare questions for the doctor. You agree before the first use. The rest of the app works without them.

No advertisements, no subscription, nothing to buy. Your information stays on the phone and on our own server, shared only with the family you choose.
