Don't call it Knit Pattern Creator and list it for free if you're going to demand $3 to do the thing mentioned in the title. If you want $3 for people to use your app, just charge it upfront instead of hiding it in the About. This isn't even tagged for in-app purchases, so I had to go back and read the description to confirm. I'll be looking for another app now for my project or breaking out the graph paper.

This pattern creator is NOT free. It has a few free patterns within the app, but if u want to create your own, you pay to use it. A bit deceptive from the ad.

Play store does not have a "try before you buy model" It says in-app purchases instead.

The whole point of the app is to create patterns- it's in the name. So how come I have to pay money to use the main feature of the app? Why not just charge to download it in the first place instead of wasting peoples time. On the bright side, beautiful user interface.
