NASA SAFE is the official safety app of NASA. It is the only app that integrates with NASA's safety and security systems. The app will send you important safety alerts and provide instant access to safety resources.

NASA SAFE features include:

- Notification History: Find previous Push Notifications for this app with the date and time.

- Plan & Prepare: Emergency documentation that can prepare you for disasters or emergencies. This can be accessed even when users aren’t connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data.

This app was not useful during an actual event. There was a fire today in the building I work in, but zero notification in this app. This app could be used to let us know when access is restricted and when access has been restored during such events.

As a NASA contractor I find this very useful since some sites close for bad weather. For example, we had snow last night, it is 28 degrees and will be 8 degrees tonight. Will the site be open for work? Find out with the app. I just wish it was available for my kindle fire so I could check before going to sleep.

For an alerts application it has a serious flaw. when I try to get KSC's status it tries to launch the X application. I don't have that app installed. Does that mean I can't use this app to get the current status of the KSC center? isn't that the purpose of this application?
