It has become a lot better and more optimized in the last years but there are still too many slow effects and animations bogging down the gameplay and making you avoid certain deck types. Balance is pretty wild and overpowered stuff isn't fixed but you can still win most of your matches once you get some cards and planeswalkers to build with. I'm playing for free for a few years now but I would actually buy something if accounts were not only transferable if they are bound to facebook.

You asked for feedback on a 3 star review. But the following email contact form was odd. So I went here. The game imo deserves 3 stars. Which is average. There are lots of games worse, some are better. How is it average then? Well you don't play the bad ones, do you? It is average of all games, worthy of your time at all, since you Skip the 1-2 stars all together. In detail: 1. Super laggy on a high end phone (octa-core 2.2ghz). 2. Cards and keywords do unexpected things and don't fit the original cards or even at least the theme. 3. Why does nissa get +red but -black? Llanowar anyone? 4. The planeswalker activatable abilities vary WIDELY in usefulness and power. 5. While I enjoy building the walkers up and unlock stuff, in the beginning especially nissas deck and abilities feel not coherent and useful. (6. I assume unlocking mythics will be a huge chore, but as long as it will be playable longterm without insane grind, I'm fine. We'll see.) 7. Random aspect quite random (drop in super combos, can't set up the board bcs enemies play on the same board and ruining stuff) 8. Hard to understand what is going on (even if you know mtg rules). Does reach suddenly also include defender? 9. Cards vanish to fast to be read. At least when they first appear, let me confirm them. Since they don't often do, what you expect. 10. Still didn't understand the glowy shield, activate and stuff gems. More explanation pls. Let me hover over keywords anywhere, not just in collection. So there. Plenty of things odd to wrong about this. Still a nice idea. Just bad execution. 3/5. All could be fixed via patching.

This game is buggy AF and barely enjoyable.. even though the adaption of the "original" TCG is basically not bad, the tons of wonky cards, immense loading times as well as the amount of game crashes lead to a very poor MtG experience... it seems as though there isn't any kind of quality assurance at all, often enough new "updates" are making things even worse, while the charges for VIP subscriptions are ridiculously high on the other hand and imho absolutely not worth it...
