About this app

DAATAN is a reputation-based platform for testing your understanding of news,
politics, and current affairs — without money, with long-term accuracy
measurement.

Prove you were right — without shouting into the void.

HOW IT WORKS
Pick a news story, write a testable prediction ("Will X happen by Y date?"),
and commit Confidence Units (CU) — a limited per-period budget that reflects
how sure you are. When the outcome resolves, your Reputation Score (RS)
updates based on how well-calibrated you were: right and confident scores
best, wrong and confident costs you most.

Your track record is permanent. Anyone can see how you've actually done over
time — not just your last hot take.

WHAT MAKES DAATAN DIFFERENT
• No money, ever. Confidence Units have no monetary value, can't be bought,
and can't be cashed out. This is not a betting or trading app.
• Long-term accuracy over engagement. The scoring rewards being right over
time, not being loud right now.
• Real accountability. Predictions are resolved against actual outcomes and
become part of your permanent, public record.
• Built for news & politics. Attach predictions to real news stories and see
how your calibration compares to other forecasters on the same topics.

WHO IT'S FOR
Heavy news consumers, people with strong opinions on politics and current
affairs, journalists and commentators, and anyone who wants to build
authority through being right — not through being loud.

DAATAN is not a gambling platform, not a trading arena, and involves no real
money. It measures understanding, not profit.
