About this app
Kivo is a simple online radio: pick a station and it plays. That's it.
No ads. No account. No subscription. No "pro" version unlocking things that should have worked from the start.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Listen to radio stations from around the world, by country — from Romania to Japan
• Search a station by name and start it with one tap
• Keep a list of favourites you can reach straight away
• See the song that's playing, when the station broadcasts that information
• Skip to the next or previous station, like on a real radio
• Set a sleep timer if you fall asleep with the radio on
• Shape the sound with the equaliser: Bass, Voice, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical
• Control playback from the notification, the lock screen, your headphones or your car
• Put a widget on your home screen with the current station and its buttons
BUILT FOR A WEAK SIGNAL
On the underground or at the edge of the village, turn on "slow mode": Kivo waits a little longer before starting, so playback stops breaking up every ten seconds. And if a station is dead, the app tells you and moves on instead of leaving you with silence in your headphones.
WHAT IT DOESN'T DO
Kivo has no account, so there is nothing it could know about you. No listening history is saved — not on the phone, not anywhere else. What stays on the phone is only the downloaded station list, your favourites, and station logos so they don't download every time. You can delete all of it whenever you like, from Settings, and see exactly how much space it takes.
There are no ads, so there are no ad trackers either. It asks for no permission it doesn't need.
IN ENGLISH AND ROMANIAN
The app speaks both languages and you can switch in Settings, whatever your phone is set to. Themes: follow the system, light, dark, or AMOLED (true black, for OLED screens).
ABOUT THE STATIONS
Kivo does not own or host any radio station — it simply opens the public streams that the stations themselves publish, the same way a browser does. The list comes from a public station catalogue. If you are a station and you don't want to be listed, Settings → Legal → "Station takedown" explains exactly how to ask.
Kivo is made by one person, in Romania. If something is broken, or you want a station added, write — the address is in the app.

Dead stations stay out of your way: we check every station overnight, and the ones that didn't answer are hidden from the list.
Want the full list? Turn off "Only stations that work" in the three-dot menu — uncertain stations show a yellow sign you can tap to see what it means.
