dat.form is a body progress record for your phone. At each check-in you log your weight, tape measurements and progress photographs, and the app shows how they change over time.
What it does
• Guided photographs. Front, side and back, one pose at a time, with an outline on screen to help you stand and frame each photograph the same way. Photographs from different check-ins can then be compared side by side.
• Measurements and weight. Log your weight and any of thirteen tape measurement sites. You record only what you measured at each check-in, and the app does not fill in a reading you left out.
• Trends. Charts for your weight and each measurement you track, over one, three or six months or your full history. Figures the app calculates from your entries are estimates and may be approximate.
• Goals. Set a weight or waist target and the app suggests a target date at three paces: ambitious, balanced and gradual. Target dates are planning figures based on published rates of change and your own recorded history. They are not a prediction of your results. If you choose a timeframe outside the usual range, the app explains what is unusual about it and lets you continue.
• Progress bar. The home screen shows how far you are towards your goal and whether you are ahead of or behind the pace needed to reach it by your target date.
• Coach style. Choose Data driven, Encouraging or Balanced. The style changes how results are worded. The results stay the same.
• Reminders. Optional check-in reminders on the days and at the time you choose.
What it will not do
dat.form is a general-wellness record. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it does not give medical advice. It does not work out whether a change in your body was fat or muscle, and it does not use photographs to estimate your measurements.
If a result concerns you, or before you make a significant change to your diet, activity or treatment, speak to a qualified health professional. The recommended audience is people aged 16 and over.

Your data
Your record is stored on your phone. There is no account and no sign-in. Photographs are copied into the app's private storage, separate from your photo library, and the app does not upload them.
The app makes one network request. When you open the Policies screen, it checks datspire.com for newer versions of its policies. That request carries no part of your record.
You can export an encrypted backup protected by a passphrase you choose, and save or share it wherever you decide. You can delete individual check-ins, or erase all app data from Settings. Erasing data in the app does not remove a backup you have already saved elsewhere.
Record progress photos, tape measurements and weight, and see how they change.
