The object is to take the number of tricks (also known as "books") that were bid before play of the hand began. Spades is a descendant of the Whist family of card games, which also includes Bridge, Hearts, and Oh Hell. Its major difference as compared to other Whist variants is that, instead of trump being decided by the highest bidder or at random, the Spade suit always trumps, hence the name.

Ratings and reviews

Issues 1: Before installing, no mention of ads, yet there's a banner at the bottom. While rather unobtrusive, lack of mention is misleading (N B. I'd be willing to pay for completely ad free, if game was better). 2: No rule options, especially no option for standard 2 clubs starts rule. Took off 3 stars because of these issues.

great game.. fun experience. also light on size .. it is becoming more fun and time pass experience and the ui have become even better after the last release
