This app does not work. I've tried on my phone and my tablet and I cannot actually use it. Downloads start at 10% and never progress past that. EDIT: I tried downloading a story that was at the wrong level and that worked, but I still cannot download the correct story. App also put me in the wrong language even when signing in with an account that was already learning the right one on another device. And anything you do it asks if you want to start a free trial. For a broken app.

I really enjoy the variety of stories, but some of the mechanics of this app can be frustrating. For example, when reading a story, I often like to pause, re-read, and study any words in which I am unfamiliar. However, when I pause, I am automatically pushed to the next page of text, even if I am not finished with the previous one. Additionally, when the audio finishes playing on the final page of text on a particular story, it automatically takes me to a new page or prompt.

Select a word to translate provides the translation, but I can't play the word individually nor can I use the microphone to check my pronunciation. It keeps saying ”No detectable audio" immediately. It's weird that it can read the story in its entirety but it can't read individual words when selected. The stories are nice, but I want to be able to hear single words and sentences and have the ability to read them back myself to gain proficiency. This is where the app falls short.
