By parents for parents
Readmio is an app full of fairy tales for kids that we have enriched with sounds. Just download the app, save a story to the library and start reading! While you read out loud, the app follows along and adds sounds at exactly the right moment.

A small theatre at home
Put your baby to sleep and instead of books, try to use our bedtime stories. And feel free to put into the storytelling, our sounds and music will help you. For example, try making different voices or facial expressions and make a small home theater for your baby. But we don't think that our app is a replacement for books, it’s an addition. We promote reading to children in any form.

Why there aren’t any illustrations in the stories?
The kids stories have beautiful cover illustrations that will help you and your children choose what you are going to read. However, the children's contact with the mobile phone should end there. In the stories themselves, we did not include illustrations intentionally because we do not want to support their time spent in front of the screen.

Meaningful bedtime stories
We created Readmio because we believe in the power of bedtime stories. They form the basis of society and help to spread and maintain wisdom. For kids, they are an ideal tool not only for expanding vocabulary but also for explaining complicated topics. We recommend that you use our stories as a conversation starter for topics you care about. You will find inspiration on how to get started in the description of the individual bedtime stories.

About privacy
An internet connection is required to download the fairy tales, but not for the reading itself. Speech recognition works completely offline, without wifi, on your device. No data or voice recordings are stored or transferred anywhere. Your privacy comes first. In addition, you can read on the go or abroad without worrying about expensive roaming charges.

About our subscription
Readmio comes with a collection of free kids stories. It covers multiple categories (Folk tales, Aesop's fables, Christmas fairy tales and etc.) and age groups providing you with an instant value and a great way to try out the experience. In addition to all current and future tales, you get the opportunity to record your reading and create an original audiobook or download the story as PDF and print it. If you like it, the subscription option unlocks the entire Readmio library (currently more than 200 kids stories, that's multiple books). We publish new stories every week.

We believe that you, your family, and your kids will enjoy the app and have many magical experiences together.

*** Note: Readmio app does not work on phones with root access. ***
Read to kids, we’ll follow along and automatically add sounds and music.

My daughter and I love this app! We use it every day and we enjoy the stories, activity sheets, and coloring pages. I highly recommend it. My only suggestion is to include listened-to stories in the Profile statistics, not just the ones that were read. Listening to your wonderful storytellers should count too!

What a joy to read this!šŸ’› And what a thoughtful suggestion. You're right that listening is just as meaningful as reading, and having those stories count toward the statistics makes a lot of sense. We'll definitely think about how to include them, and we'll gladly pass your idea on to our team.Thank you for helping us improve ReadmiošŸ™āœØšŸŒ™šŸ“š

Oh, boy. This was bad. The concept is great, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. My son is 7. We still read him a story every night. I read him the free story from the app tonight, but we didn't even finish it. It was incredibly boring and he didn't like the fact there were no illustrations at all. I love the sound effects. I'd absolutely pay for an app that listens while you read your own book and plays sound effects when you say certain words. But this I'm not paying for.

Hi David and thank you for such a honest feedback.šŸ™We're sorry our app didn't land for your son. The lack of illustrations is intentional, we pair text with sound effects to spark imagination and limit screen time, though we hear you. Try filtering by age for a better age or interest fit. Thank you for trying Readmio!šŸ’›āœØšŸ“š

I looked everywhere for decent stories for kids, my Son is 7. I'm so glad I found this app. Awesome stories with cool sound effects as you read aloud (if you want to read, there's an option to let it read for you). It is a subscription but without it you still get a free story daily. Just read my kid this Neil Armstrong story, it was very cute such a good story and well put together and now my Son is fast asleep. So win win. Hands down great app.
