About this app

🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕

Spectacular, interactive 3D simulation of the moon, right down to the shadows in the craters and earthshine on the dark side. Touch screen control changes date and time as seen from your location - the phase tracks your every move. Use two fingers to spin the moon itself (see the far side!) and zoom in to see lunar features up close.

Phone app is nice, but I what I really wanted this for is my watch. Unfortunately, the watch side of the app is disappointing. The watch face looks nice and is accurate, but there were no customizable complications. The tile was useless. It didn't update to the correct phase and so was just a nice picture with wrong information. I'm really hoping whatever is wonky with the tile gets fixed because I paid for this app and was a promised a functioning tile.

It's a nice little app. However, there should be an option to turn off notifications for events not visible to the user. I keep getting a repeated notification, even after I swipe it away, for an active penumbral eclipse, which is not visible in my location - which the app also tells me. An option to disable notifications for non-visible events is required.

A forthcoming update makes notifications optional for eclipses that aren't visible from your location. And I thought I'd fixed the "repeating notification" bug over the summer - but it's tough to test for real until an eclipse occurs! I'll try again to fix it for good. 🙄

The best single app for moon data that I have found, it suits my needs very well. It has a great moon map, moon phase details and calendar, eclipse data etc. Highly recommended! Be sure to check out this developer's other app, TerraTime Pro World Clock, which is also very useful.
