A disease-specific questionnaire that measures the experienced severity and specific symptoms (inclusion as well as exclusionary) has been constructed in the form of a multi-dimensional index and will is evaluated in a clinical population of chronic liver patients and normal individuals. Analysis has been performed with respect to the feasibility, reliability, and discrimination power of HBD. We have deployed classification methods including linear discriminant analysis (LDA), quadratic discriminant analysis (QDA), feed-forward neural network (FFNN) and support vector machine (SVM) based approaches.
