Wine lovers get this app My girlfriend and I love to take pictures of wines we come across and write reviews together. It serves as a great personal log for all the wine we liked. It is also interesting to know where our score ranked to others that reviewed the same wine. The app still needs more users for it to be totally social and there have been some wines that the program can't recognize. That being said, we have seen the app respond well to requests to add wine and know this will get better as time goes on.
I tried a few wine tracking applications and this one won out for me. I am by no means a wine expert (let's say enthusiast), and this app has been great for helping me keep track of what I've tried and liked (or really didn't like). Haven't experimented too much with the other features, but the personal wine list/ability to upload is more than enough for me!
No options Would have saved me time if it stated it's not suitable for my region. Other countries drink wine too. Maybe more people would use it if it offered some options of pricing in local currency and other world wines
Handy wine index I like the crowd sourcing for wine. Normally finds the more common vineyards but some of the lesser known stuff is a miss. Some ratings tend to be generous (not sure how to rate less than 6.1) and most wines seem to have 8 + ratings. I have had a few good bottles by the app recommendation but most of the time I can't source the bottle in Canada. The app has a bit of a learning curve to use effectively, but I can't complain for a free app with no annoying ads. Overall it works well and can be useful.
Would be great if could add wines 4 out if 5 wines scanned came back close-but-not-quite-there. Eg wine maker was right, but it was a Cabernet Sauvignon and the only option was for a shiraz. Revised up because of speed wines were added correctly
Lacks maturity Being able to enter what you like or not is all fine and requires all the effort from the user. However there is little reward such as proposals based on your likes and depending where you are. Unless you have easy access (not only financial) to great Pinot noir bottles this app has limited interest. It has a huge potential that is unfortunately not used.
Support for Android 6.0 permissions and a few bug fixes.
If you’re having fun with Delectable, please rate the app to let others know what you think.
Learn wine tasting words, like Bordeaux or Chianti, and how to pronounce them.
