About this app

Dentomation is the staff companion app for dental practices running on the Dentomation practice management platform. It puts the appointment diary, the patient in the chair, the team and the paperwork on the device in your pocket, so dentists, hygienists, nurses, receptionists and practice managers are not tied to the front desk computer.

Access requires an account issued by your practice administrator. There is nothing to buy inside the app.

TODAY
Open straight into the surgery day: now and next, later today, and a needs-attention list that pulls out unconfirmed appointments, no-shows and gaps in the book. Every appointment carries a live status - confirmed, arrived, waiting, in chair, no-show, cancelled - updated as the front desk moves people through.

APPOINTMENT DIARY
The full practice calendar by day, by surgery and by clinician. Open an appointment to see the patient, the treatment and the notes, move it, or book a new one without walking back to reception.

PATIENT RECORDS AND DENTAL CHARTING
Search the whole patient list, open a record, and read history, treatment plans, notes and documents. The dental chart is there in full: tooth-by-tooth charting with the same conditions and surfaces the desktop uses, written straight back to the practice record.

TEAM CHAT
Practice-wide and per-team messaging for handovers, cover requests and the "who is free at four" question, so the working day stops living in a personal messaging app.

ASSISTANT
Ask the practice assistant a question in plain English and get an answer back in the app.

TASKS AND CQC COMPLIANCE
Open tasks across the practice, incident reports with a photo attached from the camera or your library, and a CQC readiness view you can put in front of an inspector.

STAFF AND ATTENDANCE
Geo-fenced check in and check out. Your location is read once, at the moment you tap, only to confirm you are on site - no movement trail is kept. Holiday requests and manager approvals in the same place.

WORKS WHEN THE CONNECTION DOES NOT
What you need for today is held on the device in an AES-256 encrypted store, so the app keeps working through a broadband outage and syncs the moment the connection returns.

BUILT FOR UK PRACTICES
NHS and private, UDA and FP17, CQC and HTM 01-05, written in UK English for how UK dental practices actually run. Works on phones and tablets.

SECURITY AND DATA PROTECTION
Individual sign-in with role-based access, credentials held in the Android keystore, encrypted local storage, TLS to the Dentomation cloud, and an audit trail on the record. Patient data is processed under UK GDPR, with your practice as controller and Silverstone Digital as processor. There is no advertising, no analytics and no third-party data sharing.
