Dwarkadhish Temple — also called Jagat Mandir — is one of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites (alongside Badrinath, Puri and Rameshwaram) and one of the seven Sapta Puri (the seven holy cities of Hinduism). The 5-storeyed temple stands on the bank of the river Gomti where it meets the Arabian Sea, and its 78-m tall stone shikhara is visible to ships at sea. Above it flies the 52-gaj dhwaja bearing the sun and the moon, which is changed five times a day.
