About this app

TrailMap is an offline GPS app for hiking, walking, trail running, hunting and backpacking. Download maps before you leave signal, record your route, drop waypoints and keep track of where you are when there's no coverage.

Maps
• Outdoor, Topo and Hybrid Satellite base maps, plus street and cycling maps
• Overlays for marked hiking and cycling routes and sea marks
• 3D terrain view with hillshading
• Park and trail overlays

Offline maps
• Download a map area before you head out, choosing a detail level with a tile estimate before you start
• Offline downloads work for both vector and raster base maps
• Offline maps manager: see each saved area's size, zoom range and completeness, show it on the map, or delete it
• Clearing the map cache keeps your downloaded areas

Australian extras
• Australian topographic layers, including GetLost Topo Australia, Topo QLD and Tasmania (TASMAP)
• Bushfire incidents from state emergency services in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA and Tasmania, shown on the map

Track recording
• Record routes with distance, time, speed, elevation gain and loss, and steps
• Recording continues with the screen off
• Elevation profile for every saved track, with a distance axis; drag along it to read the elevation at any point
• Share a track as an image, a flyover video or a GPX file

GPX
• Import GPX files, including routes as well as tracks
• Export any track as a GPX file

Waypoints
• Save trailheads, camps, water and other points of interest, with photos
• Share waypoints as a tappable link or QR code

Safety
• SOS screen showing your coordinates and the emergency number for the country you're in
