About this app

The new Dexcom Follow App is part of the Dexcom SHARE® system.
Use this app if your loved one is sharing data from their Dexcom CGM app. The Sharer will need to send an invitation to allow you to connect after you have installed the Follow app.
Dexcom Follow works seamlessly with your loved one’s Dexcom CGM, giving you visibility into their glucose data, even when they’re far away. Dexcom Follow allows you to view and follow their glucose levels, trends and data right from the app. Whether your child is in school, your parent lives independently, or your partner is traveling, Dexcom Follow helps you stay connected and informed.
With Dexcom Follow, you can:
• Receive glucose information of up to 25 different Sharers – children, friends, or other loved ones – if you know multiple people with diabetes
• Respond quickly with the help of customizable glucose alerts and push notifications that can inform you when a Sharer’s glucose levels are outside of target range

Service went out in the middle of the night last night -- which would have been understandable ... except: (1) I had last looked at the app at 11:00 PM, and the graph wouldn't update with readings between 11:00 PM and 3:30 AM, when the outage began, so I had no way of knowing if things were steady or if there was an issue on the rise. (2) Since I knew there was a general Dexcom issue, I wanted to silence the alarms -- but the app couldn't do so without connecting to its server. Fail!

I do not love that the new version got rid of the permanent notification with the current number in my pull-down menu. Also, for months I struggled with getting any notifications for high levels until I noticed that in the notifications the default "delay first notification" was set to 1 hour. Once I turned that off I started getting notifications when I should. The default should not be 1 hour. Many people use this app for people that cannot be relied on to take care of themselves.

Regularly quits working, often in the middle of the night when a blaring alarm every 5 minutes is annoying, to say the least. This new version is the WORST "UPGRADE". The functionality and ease of use is gone. It is frustrating. It was obviously re-designed by people who don't need or use the app. GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION, or give us the option to reinstall the previous version.
