About this app

The new Dexcom Follow App is part of the Dexcom SHARE® system.
Use this app if your loved one is sharing data from their Dexcom CGM app. The Sharer will need to send an invitation to allow you to connect after you have installed the Follow app.
Dexcom Follow works seamlessly with your loved one’s Dexcom CGM, giving you visibility into their glucose data, even when they’re far away. Dexcom Follow allows you to view and follow their glucose levels, trends and data right from the app. Whether your child is in school, your parent lives independently, or your partner is traveling, Dexcom Follow helps you stay connected and informed.
With Dexcom Follow, you can:
• Receive glucose information of up to 25 different Sharers – children, friends, or other loved ones – if you know multiple people with diabetes
• Respond quickly with the help of customizable glucose alerts and push notifications that can inform you when a Sharer’s glucose levels are outside of target range

Customer Feedback
If you’re experiencing any technical issues or need help with a Dexcom product, we recommend reaching out to our dedicated support team at 1-888-738-3646. This ensures your privacy is protected and allows us to assist you faster than through the app store.
Please note that Dexcom is required to follow up on product-related concerns. If your review includes a comment that needs further attention, a technical support representative may contact you to gather more details and help resolve the issue.

*Do not use Dexcom Follow for treatment decisions, such as insulin dosing. The Sharer should follow instructions on the CGM system.

Just learned the old app was discontinued today... went through the process of installing the new one. Glad there's an app available to follow. Really unfortunate the new version doesn't allow followers to see numbers without being in the app. Checked every setting to make sure they weren't preventing it from showing on status bar and lock screen... turns out it was removed from the new version. Seems like a less convenient/ backwards update. Kinda wish I would've left it alone.

When my daughter's glucose level is low (set at 70) or high (set at 400) to the number it's suppose to go off at, the alarm doesn't go off or it's delayed. The app will not refresh the numbers unless I close the app fully and restart the app again. Even when I'm in the app and scroll down to refresh, the circle just keeps spinning. The old app use to have an icon on the top so you can tap it to see the numbers without going into the app. Please bring that back.

I do not love that the new version got rid of the permanent notification with the current number in my pull-down menu. Also, for months I struggled with getting any notifications for high levels until I noticed that in the notifications the default "delay first notification" was set to 1 hour. Once I turned that off I started getting notifications when I should. The default should not be 1 hour. Many people use this app for people that cannot be relied on to take care of themselves.
