HOW TO USE

1. Open the app and tap the data type you want to back up.
2. Choose which items to include (or tap "select all").
3. Tap the backup button. Files go to /QuickBackup/ on your storage.
4. To restore on a new phone: install Quick Backup, copy your backup folder to the same path, tap Restore.


BEFORE A FACTORY RESET

Quick Backup saves files to internal storage by default. If you plan to factory-reset your phone, change the backup folder to your external SD card first (Settings → Backup path), OR copy the "QuickBackup" folder to your SD card before resetting.


PERMISSIONS WE ASK FOR (AND WHY)

• Read & write SMS — to back up and restore your messages.
• Read & write contacts — to back up and restore your contacts.
• Read & write call log — to back up and restore your call history.
• All-files access — to write the backup folder where you can find it and copy it between devices.
• Notifications — to show backup progress when the app is in the background.

We do not collect, track, or transmit any of your personal data. The app works fully offline. The only network traffic is for in-app ads served by Google AdMob.

What’s new

• Fixed a crash on phones with an empty memory-card slot — the app could close while opening the dashboard.
• Automatic backups now keep to their schedule. Weekly means seven days since the last backup and monthly thirty, instead of one fixed day.
• The schedule repairs itself, so backups are no longer skipped after the app is force-stopped or closed by battery settings.
• A backup that fails is retried at the next check instead of counting as done.
