Poor in almost every respect When I picked up my car the salesman asked me repeatedly if I was happy with everything he'd done & (referencing the feedback request I'd receive) explained poor ratings in customer satisfaction were not tolerated by Nissan. My God, then, how is this app and it's 2* customer ratings getting past Nissan Management?! The development team for this should be utterly ashamed. It let's down an otherwise excellent product hugely.
Half baked Shows miles, not km. Missing much of the information found on the carwings web site. Long delays on each click. Loses connection often. Bad user interface. Many clicks required for simple actions. Why does it always ask if I want a demo? Advice: put the protocol on the public domain so we can develop an open source app.
Slow and not reliable. It can refresh data (it takes long 40seconds), compared with Tesla's few seconds) but it works. Time for completion is for 100% charge only (incl pointless float charge). Doesn't show time for trickle charge. Doesn't show time for 80% charge. Doesn't show outside nor inside temperature. Does show pointless x.x-time for 6kW charger (even if not installed). Can't switch on rear/mirror defrost. Can't adjust recirculation mode. Doesn't show vehicle GPS. NO CHARGING TIMER! App crashes and loses login data.
The app itself feels a bit like it is from the 1980's. It's a GREAT idea. If only it does what it says. On top of that there seems to be flaws and delays somewhere else in the ether. Sometimes features work. Sometimes they don't. If they do work they always take so long that I've lost the will to live. I love the car and the service in the dealership. The app is a big let down.
Does the job A little slow and an Issue when two users log in from different devices, Ie, the wife and I. Otherwise manages very when what is capable to do with the car remotely. Like the remote heating option and the attention analyse previous journeys. I don't like however that you have to opt in to use it every time the vehicle starts up. There should be an option to permanently agree and then opt out if you don't like it.
I think the app is fine, it does what I need. I'm a UK user. I wish it connected and updated all stats as it log in instead of me having to refresh each page for latest info though. Once I click refresh it takes maybe 30 seconds or more to contact the car and get the info back. I don't think this is an inordinate amount of time considering the car has to be located a d data requested and transmitted to my phone. The climate control and timer work perfectly to turn it on but it will just use whatever temperature you had set preciously in the car. It would be nice to be able to change that in the app. The analytics are great for seeing cost of driving etc. The "find my car" function works very accurately after refresh but you do have to keep refreshing if you want to track your car. I guess all these refresh issues are to keep data transmission to a minimum and save Nissan money as most of us are using the service for free on new cars. If everything was constantly tracked for all cars it would be a massive amount of mobile data I guess. I see a lot of reviewers are after some really detailed technical and statistical data from an app, I guess they must be the spreadsheet analysing, obsessive compulsive types. The app is just fine for Joe Ordinary who only needs the basic info.
