About this app

Dimples is a dating app for people who are actually looking for something.

Not a feed. Not a game. A small, careful app built around thoughtful profiles, honest distance, and conversations that start well.

FIND WHO MAKES YOU SMILE

Your deck shows people near you who are looking for someone like you. Swipe right to like, left to pass, or up to superlike when someone genuinely stands out. Changed your mind? Rewind takes back your last swipe.

Everyone you see has answered three prompts, written something about themselves, and added at least two photos that passed review. There is more to react to than a selfie.

BUILT AROUND WHO YOU WANT TO MEET

Set your distance, your age range, and who you want to see. Then go further: filter by what you are looking for — a long-term relationship, something casual, or still figuring it out — and by religion, whether someone wants children, and ethnicity. Leave any filter empty to see everyone.

Distances are shown in miles or kilometres, whichever you prefer.

DAILY PICKS

Five people picked for you each day, drawn from the same pool as your deck and refreshed every morning. A short list instead of an endless one.

DOUBLE DATE

Team up with a friend and swipe on other pairs together. When two pairs like each other, all four of you land in one group chat.

LIKES YOU (DIMPLES+)

See the people who have already liked you, and match instantly instead of hoping you find them in the deck.

CONVERSATIONS THAT ACTUALLY START

When you both like each other, it's a match and the chat opens. Messages arrive in real time. If you don't know how to begin, Dimples suggests three icebreakers written to be easy to answer — tap one and edit it, or write your own.

Notifications tell you about new matches and new messages.

VERIFY YOUR PROFILE

Take a quick selfie and it is compared with your photos. Verified profiles get a badge and are shown higher in the deck, so people who prove they're real get seen more.

SAFETY IS NOT AN AFTERTHOUGHT

• Block, report, and unmatch are one tap away from every profile and every chat, including double-date group chats
• Every profile photo is reviewed before anyone can see it
• Reports are confidential and reviewed by our team
• Blocking removes someone from your deck and stops them contacting you
• 18+ only, enforced when you sign up
• Delete your account and everything in it from Settings, any time, without asking us

Your exact location is never shown to anyone. Other people only ever see roughly how far away you are.

LIGHT OR DARK

Dimples follows your system theme, or you can pin it to light or dark in Settings.
