Cute, hardly works. The app can't figure out that I love in Washington. All the dogs that are coming up in my search are adorable and would be great fits for our family, if they weren't in TX, or southern NV... mostly just bums me out cuz it sucks for the dogs and the shelters if people can't find the animals avalible locally. Oh well. Uninstalling.
Pet Finder in General I haven't played with the app yet, but PF gets 5 stars anyway in my book. My family was able to adopt our Fred from Utah. We live in MN, and were visiting family. Fred was from NE, and dumped at a truck stop. So he came home with us. Thank you Petfinder! That was 5 years ago this October!
Interface is almost unusable Having to scroll by dragging an imaginary bar on the ride side of the screen is terrible. If i scroll anywhere else on thr screen, it sends me all over the place. A shame really, because the website is great. A true eff up here for an otherwise great service. I want to use it, but i refuse. It's too annoying.
Search engine sucks It's a good app but would be SOOOO much better if the search engines actually let you filter how far you want the search to go out. I just searched for a dog and it brought up dogs from CA,IL,NY so that blows.
Not enough filtering options I realize this app can only use as much info as the website has, but the website has a distance filter. I'd also like to be able to select multiple breeds and age groups. As it is, I have to look at one at a time, which is time consuming. All the data is there, just make the multiple options selectable in the same filters. Further, sorting by date added would be extremely helpful.
App does not include all dogs The app does not pull up all the dogs that are listed on the website. We found a dog on your website that we wanted to adopt, but were unable to find that same dog on the app. The rescue group listed for that dog was also not listed in the app. I was able to browse using the app, but ended up going back to the website because I knew I wasn't getting a full listing.
Find adoptable pets without all the ads! Petfinder is going ad free, so now all you’ll see is adorable adoptables without ad clutter. We've also fixed the issue with shelter search and some other bug fixes as well. We really hope you enjoy the app.
