About this app

MyDocs with KIC Study System substantially improves study effectiveness.

• KSS 2X provides up to two times normal study effectiveness.
• Students achieve significantly higher retention in less time.
• KSS 2X involves speed-reading for 20-30 seconds immediately followed by ReadAlong Audio of the same content.
• Highlighting is replaced with making flashcards, which allows students to quiz themselves on ‘highlighted’ information.
• Its intimate involvement with the study process allows KSS to provide detailed real-time graphical study progress reporting.

For students who prefer less structured studying, KSS provides eight study methods:

1. Pre-study SKIM - computer-assisted speed-reading - no training required
2. ReadAlong Audio for deeper retention than reading alone, with speed control
3-5. Normal reading, Controlled pace reading and Audio only
6. Creating flashcards (an alternative to highlighting)
7-8. Studying & quizzing with flashcards

Aside from a shoddy UI - I was really excited about this app. I downloaded it, scanned a book - but everytime I tried to upload what I'd scanned it said "permission not granted" (and it won't let you upload documents from your phone/email, even if you used the KSS system to scan them). So after tutorials, etc. (and a lot more time than it should have taken), I've deleted my account and removed the app (which is sad, because it sounded amazing). Hopefully this app is improved soon.

I'm a pre-medical major and have struggled with carrying around my gigantic books and being able to focus when it comes to reading, but this app has really helped! I've improved my grades and even cutting my study time in half or even more!!!!

Interesting idea, I haven't tried it yet, I just downloaded the app after I saw the scanners in my college library. And while I now this is only beta, this app NEEDS a UI update. It is a very ugly looking app, not intuitive at all, and user friendly? No, absolutely it is not.
