Passports in WhatsApp. Contracts in Gmail. Marksheets in Drive. Car quotations on a USB stick somewhere. DocShelf brings them all into one place — scan, organise, search, and remind yourself when things expire, without ever uploading a thing.


📷 SCAN PAPER WITH YOUR CAMERA
Tap Scan, point at any document, and the camera auto-detects the edges, fixes the perspective, and cleans up the contrast. Multi-page captures stitch into a single PDF. All processing happens on your device using Google ML Kit — nothing is ever sent to a server.


📥 BRING IN WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE
Open the file picker and choose one file, many files, or a whole folder at once. Or long-press a file in any other app — WhatsApp, Drive, Gmail, the Files app — tap Share, and pick DocShelf.


🗂️ ORGANISE THE WAY YOU LIVE
Fourteen starter folders cover most situations: Identity, Finance, Work, Education, Health, Insurance, Property, Vehicle, Bills, Receipts, Quotations, Travel, Family, and Other. Add subfolders, delete what you don't use, or build your own categories from scratch — your library, your rules.


✏️ NOTES THAT SIT NEXT TO YOUR FILES
A built-in rich-text note editor saves alongside your documents in the same folder tree. Headings, bold, italic, highlight, checklists, quotes, code blocks, dividers — what you type is what you see.


⏰ EXPIRY REMINDERS THROUGH YOUR PHONE CALENDAR
Toggle "this document has an expiry date" on a passport, insurance policy, lease, or driving licence. DocShelf opens your phone's native calendar with the reminder pre-filled — the OS delivers the alert. Survives reboots, battery savers, and aggressive background-app killing that breaks normal in-app reminders.


🔍 FIND ANYTHING IN SECONDS
Search runs across file names, your descriptions, and the folder paths each file lives in. Filter by type — PDFs, images, scans, notes, videos — and find what you need without scrolling.


🔒 PRIVATE BY DESIGN
DocShelf has no server. No account to create, no telemetry, no analytics, no cloud sync, no in-app purchases, no ads. Files live on your phone only, in DocShelf's own folder. To send a copy elsewhere, open any file and tap Share.
