About this app

Created for those who want to stop smoking for good, the NHS Quit Smoking app is a 28 day programme that puts practical support, encouragement, and tailored clinical advice in the palm of your hand.
The evidence suggests you are 5 times more likely to quit for good if you stay smoke free for 28 days, with this in mind we will help you on your own personal journey to quit.
We’ll be with you every step of the way, helping you achieve your target, picking you up if you stumble, and celebrating your successes for 28 days - and beyond!
Every week we will provide a guide broken down into manageable chunks, giving you missions to complete and timely, useful advice.

I've found the app very motivational and am still using it after completing the 28 day programme to keep a focus on how much money I've saved and how many days I've been smoke free! There are lots of links with useful information regarding giving up smoking. During the 28 days you get daily updates. I've found it very beneficial

This app focuses on the first 28 days of stopping smoking and really helped me to stay focused with a daily counter and health facts as well as articles and advice. You can continue to use the app even after the 28 days of stopping, and you get to see the counter of days you have been smoke-free and the money you have saved. This has been a great motivator for me, and I am now 107 days somke free as of writing this, almost 4 months and still counting. It's definitely worth a try. Good luck!

Seriously? This is helpful? You could simply write "quit for 30days and that will help you quit". It literally doesn't address any nicotine withdrawal symptoms, the fact that it mimics acetylcholine. No strategies whatsoever. Doesn't address emotional impact, grief, anything. Literally useless. Smoking is much more that that! That's why it's so hard to quit! We need real help 🤦‍♀️
