Skanora turns your phone into a document scanner that finishes the job: a straightened, readable PDF whose text you can search.
WHAT IT DOES
• Finds the page edges by itself and captures when the shot is steady
• Straightens the perspective — a photo taken at an angle comes out square
• Eleven filters, shadow removal and glare reduction turn a grey photo into a clean page
• Reads the text on your pages and builds a searchable PDF, with an invisible text layer over the words
• Merges, splits, compresses, rotates and reorders pages
• Adds a watermark, page numbers, headers and footers
• Locks a PDF with a password (AES-128, standard PDF security)
• Signs a contract with your finger — no printer, no scanner
• Annotates: pen, highlighter, text, shapes, arrows
• Reads QR codes and barcodes
• Encrypted vault, opened by PIN or biometrics, for identity papers
YOUR DOCUMENTS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
Text recognition runs on the device, using embedded models. No image, no recognised text is uploaded — to us or to anyone. There is no account to create, and the whole app works with no network at all.
SPECIALISED MODES
Document, receipt, ID card, passport, book, business card, whiteboard, and more. A scanned receipt gives back merchant, date, total and VAT. A passport is read through its machine-readable zone with its check digits verified.
ORGANISED, AND FINDABLE
Folders, tags, favourites, automatic naming and filing. Full-text search looks inside the recognised text of every page, not just in titles.
FREE, AND HONEST ABOUT IT
Scanning, PDF export, text recognition, signature and the vault are free and stay free. The free app is funded by advertising: a banner under the document list and an occasional full-page ad after an export — never during a scan, never in the vault.
Where a feature depends on a service that is not configured, the app says so instead of pretending.
Scan any document to PDF. Text recognition and encrypted vault, offline.
