I had an app like this a while back. But it stopped being supported, so I had to look for this Ace. Sometimes you want your screen to stay on. Like when you're driving, it's easier and safer to glance down and see what's playing on things like Spotify or your podcast player without having to wake up your phone. It would get five stars, but the fact that if you ever have to restart your phone it will have you redo the settings for the app. I have a OnePlus 9 Pro running Android 14.

I ran into an issue where we couldn't run Wakey because we were offline. It turns out you have to be online to load the app after an update. This led to an issue where our mapping screen kept timing out every 10 minutes due to Wakey not working. Once we got back into internet range and loaded the app once the software worked offline as expected. Annoying, but when the software works, it works great.

My screen stayed on. It's unusually hard to find a good app that can do a simple task! This app works fine but I started noticing small things after I installed it. It's using more battery which I fully expected, but not to this degree. My phone would get warm. I noticed when my hand would get close to the screen, it would go black. Some permissions it was asking for seemed irrelevant. I'm going to try something else to see if there's a difference.
