Movement Detection is a condition plugin for Tasker. It reports how you are moving so your profiles can act on it.

Detects still, walking, running, on foot, on a bicycle, in a vehicle, and tilting. Each condition can watch for that activity happening, or for it not happening, so "not in a vehicle" is as easy to build as "in a vehicle".

Two dials keep it from firing on noise. A confidence threshold ignores low-certainty guesses, and a delay means a moment of stillness at a red light does not end your driving profile.

Common uses: reading messages aloud while driving, pausing a workout playlist when you stop running, dimming the screen when the phone is face-down and still.

Tasker is required and sold separately. This app does nothing on its own. It adds conditions inside Tasker.

PERMISSIONS

Physical activity (activity recognition) is the app's core function and the only sensitive permission it holds. Android's own activity recognition service does the detecting. The app requests no location permission and does not track your exact location.

PRIVACY

Your activity stays on your device. Only the current reading is kept, and each new one overwrites the last. The app sends anonymous usage and crash data to help fix bugs, which records how your conditions are configured, never what you are doing. You can turn it off in the app.
