Letterly is a mobile app that lets you record your voice and quickly turn it into polished text. The AI helps rewrite your speech in a clear, useful format that usually needs little or no editing. Android AccessibilityService API disclosure

Letterly Dictation is an optional voice-based input feature that can help users who have difficulty typing on a mobile keyboard, including users with motor impairments or hand-mobility limitations, dictate text directly into other apps such as messages, emails, notes, and documents.

To do this, Letterly uses Android AccessibilityService API to find the text field you are typing in and place your dictated text there.

When you dictate, your audio recording is sent to Letterly servers and transcription/AI service providers to turn your speech into text and create the final result.

Letterly does not use Android AccessibilityService API to read passwords, payment fields, or banking fields, record calls, change your device settings, bypass Android privacy controls, or control your device without your action.

You can turn this feature off anytime in Android Accessibility settings.

Ratings and reviews

Best for long brain dumps to extract gold from your mind. it can organize all your chaotic dumped in a well put together list. That's just one of many many uses. I also record meetings with this to extract all the to do items. all the details, all the numbers. I'm no longer missing important things cuz I didn't write it. it's ok there. I love love love this app. I use it often.

DO NOT trust this app to record important conversations. When / if it works... It is truly amazing. Unfortunately that only seems to be about 10% of the time. When it malfunctions you typically lose the entire conversation and customer service can't help you find them. I have learned to use the export audio function, but you must concentrate when you end the conversation because that option only flashes up for a moment and if you don't use it... your entire conversation is gone forever.

I have been really enjoying this app, both on my Samsung phone and PC. Very useful. When I encountered a problem with the microphone not working with Firefox on the PC, I contacted Lettrerly and in a few days I got detailed step by step instructions on how to fix it...and it did. I've had this same problem with Firefox regarding another program and it fixed that as well. Great customer service!
