About this app

Pulse is an Android network diagnostics toolkit for checking the connection from the device in your hand.

Inspect the current Wi-Fi connection, review nearby wireless networks, compare channels, follow signal changes, and map measurements on a floor plan. Discover devices on an authorized local network and review locally observed IP addresses, device names, vendors, services, and history.

Run direct diagnostics including:

- Download and upload speed tests with selectable measurement servers
- Live ping with latency, jitter, and packet loss
- Traceroute and a route timeline based on observed hops
- DNS lookup and resolver comparison
- Authorized TCP port reachability checks
- URL, gateway, DHCP lease, and ISP reachability checks
- Wake-on-LAN and subnet calculations

Pulse can continuously check hosts and services that you configure. Monitor results and incidents are stored on the Android device, and optional notifications can report outages, degraded performance, and recovery. A visible Android notification indicates when continuous monitoring is active.

For network administrators, Pulse includes direct SNMP polling, SSH and SFTP connections, and local Telnet or raw TCP terminal access. Use active checks and remote tools only with systems and networks you own or are authorized to administer.

Pulse has no user account, cloud synchronization, or application backend. Settings, histories, monitor samples, device records, and crash reports stay in app-private storage. Saved SSH secrets and protected SNMP credentials use Android secure storage where supported. Some features make direct requests to destinations selected by the user, public network-identity services, speed-test servers, and Google AdMob as described in the Privacy Policy.

Feature availability depends on Android permissions, device hardware, operating-system restrictions, router support, destination configuration, and network conditions. Scan and route results are observations from this device and may be incomplete when devices or networks block diagnostic traffic.
Monitor your local network with professional diagnostic tools.
