Ebokio is an ebook reader built on a simple idea: your reading should follow you from one device to the next, and stay yours.

READ IT YOUR WAY
Set the typeface, size, line spacing and margins until the page feels right, and pick from nine reading themes - light, dark, night, sepia, paper, mint, slate, solarized and high contrast. Your place in every book saves automatically, so you can stop mid-sentence on your phone and carry on from the web exactly where you left off.
LISTEN WHEN YOU CAN'T LOOK
Read-aloud narrates a book in a natural voice, highlighting each sentence as it goes and turning the page for you. It keeps playing with the screen off, and you can pause, skip and scrub straight from the lock screen or your headphones.
TAKE YOUR LIBRARY OFFLINE
Download a book and read it on a plane, on the train, or anywhere with no signal. Downloaded books are encrypted on your device, and your sign-in is held in your phone's hardware-backed keystore - neither is included in a phone backup or transfer.
ASK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE READING
Ask AI answers questions about the book you're in and jumps you to the exact passage behind the answer. The Librarian suggests what to read next from a plain description of what you're in the mood for. Compare sets two books side by side when you can't choose. Some AI features are part of Ebokio Plus.

The Privacy & permissions screen inside the app lists exactly what Ebokio asks your phone for and what it keeps - and each of those claims is checked against the code by a test that fails the build if it stops being true.
