TreeNote organizes your knowledge in a tree. Every note can hold a page of content. Every page can branch into nested children, as deep as you need. Everything lives on your device — no account, no cloud, no tracking.

Why a tree?
The world's knowledge isn't a flat list, and your notes shouldn't be either. Project Alpha has subprojects. Subprojects have meeting notes, code snippets, decisions, follow-ups. TreeNote lets you nest as deeply as your work demands and find anything in seconds.

Features

• Deeply nested tree — unlimited depth. Expand and collapse branches to focus on what matters now.
• Fast full-text search — search every note title and body, with snippet previews of each hit.
• Code mode — flip any note into monospace rendering for technical content (config files, command output, JSON).
• Drag to reorder — long-press any node and drag to rearrange siblings.
• Move and reparent — relocate any subtree to a new parent via the row menu.
• Quick capture — long-press the + button to drop a thought into your Inbox; sort it later.
• Subtree export and import — share or back up a slice of your tree as a .tree file. Move a notebook from one device to another with no servers in between.
• Light, dark, and system themes; three font sizes for readability.
• Undo on delete and move — fat-finger protection.

What it doesn't do

No accounts. No sign-in. No cloud sync. No analytics. No telemetry. No advertisements. No third-party SDKs. No nagging.

Your data is yours. It lives on your device until you decide otherwise.

Backup and portability

Every notebook can be exported to a single human-readable JSON file (.tree extension). Import on another device, share with a collaborator, or archive to your own backups. The format is open and stable.

• Tasks: turn any node into a task with a checkbox and optional due date.
• Tasks view shows every open task grouped by Overdue, Today, Future.
• Two creation buttons (+ Note, + Task), each with a destination picker.
• Long-press + Task to bulk-create a checklist. Long-press + Note for Quick Capture.
• Tap URLs in notes to open them (with a confirmation step).
• Drag a node onto another's middle to make it a child; top/bottom still reorder.
