The MammoScreen app (Lite) is a beta version of an upcoming companion app for the proprietary technology: MammoWave. The MammoScreen Project is co-funded by the European Union and the UK Research and Innovation agency. MammoScreen aims to provide an innovative, safe and non-invasive solution for the detection of breast cancers.
This lite app contains educational resources, such as information to help you understand more about breast cancer; an overview of the MammoScreen project including the science and technology behind the screening method; an overview of the MammoWave screening process; information on how to perform a breast health examination self-assessment; and a hereditary breast cancer questionnaire to help users learn more about the potential risk factors associated with hereditary breast cancer.
Users can provide feedback on the Lite version of the app that will shape the further development of the app, including anything from formatting, to content, and inclusion of accessibility options. All feedback will be anonymous, and any updates made to the app will be highlighted in a changelog to ensure users will be kept up to date on how their feedback impacts the development of the app.
In the future, this app will be used to book MammoWave appointments with all the needed paperwork being sent directly to the device before the users appointment aiming to streamline the breast cancer screening process alongside the innovative MammoWave technology.
