About this app

MassBlocker blocks distracting apps until you do something real to unlock them.

Every other app blocker has a snooze button, and you always tap it.
MassBlocker doesn't. To open a blocked app you have to get up and scan a
QR code you placed somewhere out of reach — after a cooldown you can't skip.

HOW IT WORKS
- Pick the apps that distract you
- Place an unlock QR somewhere inconvenient (another room, the fridge, the gym)
- To open a blocked app, go scan it — then a short window, then a cooldown
- Want it stricter? Add a PIN and hand it to someone you trust

WHY IT WORKS
The unlock is a physical action, not a timer you wait out or a toggle you
switch off. The friction is the point.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
MassBlocker uses the Android Accessibility API to deliver its core feature:
blocking apps. The accessibility service detects when an app on your blocklist
comes to the foreground and immediately shows the lock screen. Without this
permission, MassBlocker cannot tell which app you just opened, and blocking
cannot work.

MassBlocker uses the accessibility service only to read the package name of
the app currently in the foreground so it knows whether to block it. It does
not read the content of your screen, capture text you type, or monitor what
you do inside other apps. Accessibility data stays on your device and is never
collected, shared, or sold.

FEATURES
- Block any app you choose
- QR-scan unlock — you decide where the code lives
- Enforced cooldown and daily limit
- Strict mode with PIN (for parents, or for locking down your own worst habits)
- Family sharing — one plan covers up to 5 people
- Runs on your device

FREE & PRO
Free: block apps, reusable QR unlock, daily limit.
Pro: unlimited, recurring auto-relock, strict mode, family sharing.

Data safety

Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. The developer provided this information and may update it over time.

What’s new

More ways to unlock. Pro: Charging cable — plug in, then tap Unlock. NFC tag — tap your own enrolled tag. Bring your own QR — use any code you place yourself. Plus a 3-word code for camera-free unlock and custom cooldown times. Strict mode is tougher: the built-in QR is removed unless you enroll your own, so only your code or the PIN opens things.
